Re: Random thought of the day

No I wouldn't for one minute think he/she/it would be Sue. In the same way I don't think he/she/it would be too bothered about the additional seven sins that his supposed representative on earth has foisted upon us as though the first seven weren't enough.  Devil [6] Did you know that there is no definitive list of mortal sins?  Many believers accept the broad seven deadly sins or capital vices laid down in the 6th century by Pope Gregory the Great and popularised in the Middle Ages by Dante in The Inferno: lust, gluttony, avarice, sloth, anger, envy and pride. What, with these fourteen plus the ten commandments I think that even he/she/it would be having a difficult time justifying remaining in the top spot.

    Si.

If voting changed anything, the Government would abolish it.

Why do they bother putting locks on the doors of 24 hour supermarkets ?

I've learnt two celebrity factoids this week that I didn't know before.

CF1 The chap who played Foggy in Last of the Summer Wine (who as you prob know died last week) also played Mr Barraclough in Porridge.

CF2 Meera Syal is married to Sanjeev Bhaskar.

    "Factoid"? Hmm...

    http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/factoid

The name "Steve Wright" also springs to mind. I would supply an URL for this, but the only relevant one I could find was littered with 4-letter words.

    Anyway...

Why does the good guy, in whatever film, always die in the hands of the hero, just as he is about to reveal the identity of the bad guy?

Why is it that, after the commercial break, the presenter of a tv show will say "welcome back"?

    I haven't gone anywhere!

Also, how did the Incredible Hulk always manage to avoid splitting his trousers?

What you could do is go out til about 9.15pm, immediately switch on ITV and you should just be in the commercial break of something. Then, when they say 'welcome back' you can laugh yourself hoarse because you were never there in the first place.

But my favourite is to switch on ITV at 10.29pm just as the presenter says 'you've been watching the 10 o'clock news with me...'. I can then shout 'Hah, stiffed you Trevor, I haven't been watching the 10'oclock news at all!'

It gets em every time...I like to imagine...

Ah yes - getting one over those smug newsreaders - very satisfying.

By the way, what does a reflexologist rub if you've got a sore foot?
