An image that has previously been printed in Digital Camera or any other photographic magazine is not eligible for entry.

What if its submitted, and then the submitter, think thats the word, is asked if the image can be used in another magazine?

me neither although i do see that they've included the cat called Hidden Britain which should silence those complaining that images taken in exotic places are always going to outclass those taken in downtown Birmingham etc. one thing though - why do they persist with this 'taken within the past 5 years' thing? does it really take this amount of time to edit and submit an image. i see it as an opportunity lost for Future - they should have been encouraging people to get out there with their cameras shooting away like mad not sitting in front of their computers delving through the past 5 years worth of captures. this is definitely a big advantage for the 'pro's' imho.

Re: On your marks... get set....

Who will be the judges? Last year's panel only had one photographer of any note, Bob Moore, and Bob has been around since Adam was a lad!

One of the sponsors is the RPS, why not ask them to provide a judging panel, after all they do reside in Bath.

I'm a bit puzzled as to why voting will take place, why? In the FAQ's section there is an answer to the question about late entries, intimating that even if you enter an image the day before the closing date it will have the same chances as one that has been commented on and voted on, so why bother?Confused [8-)]

i agree with you on this but then i think they should at list make the comment still avalible even if the entry is closed to post a pic.

about the judges i think this is gone be like the eurovision contest which all countrys will give votes to there next door country.  every one votes the one that they know and not becaouse the pic is nice no wait maybe that was a bit too much of me but you know what will happen anyway as i said i agree with you ABERS here is needed a RPS's oppinion
