i need some help i am looking for imaging software apart from editing my pics i want to use it for graphic banners and avatars any suggestions will photoshop elements do the trick or is there any other suggestions help!

from the info you've gave, it might be worth googling / researchung Paint Shop Pro.

cheaper than elements and will do what you've described.

PSP X2 is out, can be found at fairly reasonable prices...but an old version, even 7 or 8 would do you and be cheaper still on ebay.
