hi i am new to the DC magazine website. im looking for a bit of advice, I entered the HDR mission of the month, last month and have had nothing back.

could some please tell me if you are a winner or being featured in the magazine when would you know by?

i sent my photos in by email and i was also wondering how they get the other information from you like all the details of your photograph for the magazine like: camera used lens used ect,

and the minature picture of you?

 do you have to have a portfolio online to be featured in the magazine?

colud someone please tell me how this works.

Well, let me put it this way, I've entered quite a few of the 'your mission' comps, never heard anything back and the shots have never appeared in the magazine...

You don't have to have a portfolio on the site but basically, yes, if they're interested in putting you in the mag they do get in contact and ask for the other details, or so I'm told.

We just gotta keep on tryin'

ok thanks for the advice on that, im going to add some of my image to my porfolio now, i am really hoping to get featured in the magazine!

they email you back asking for your details. i was shortlisted for the low light comp a few months ago. but i sent the images from my other email account and forgot to check regularly. so when i finaly got the email it was a too late.  :(   i think that if you haven't recieved an email yet that you probably haven't won or got in the mag.

They contacted me over a month ago about hotshots and I havent seen anything yet, still got my fingers crossed though :D

Well the mag's out and can I be the first to congratulate Spiritflier on his stunning image of the JCB thingy that won him the backpack (still think that the talus images were better though)
