Is it possible to use the cataloging part of elements5 with cs3?

In one word - no. Elements has one catalogue plus an editor in the application. CS3 itself does not have a catalogue system in it's own right as it's contained within it's sidekick application Bridge. And before you ask - there is no compatability between Bridge and the Elements catalogue. Never seen this question before, do you mind me asking what you are/were hoping to achieve?
