Punish the parents for their offsprings wrongdoings.

    First offence - Fine them
    Second offence - Jail them
    Third offence - Shoot them

    Its a start!

Why not give the young 'uns community service, and make the parents do it with them?! We need to bring back the stocks - only update it to the modern era (thats in accordance with human rights....!)

Sounds like a plan to me.

I don't like those Mosquito things. I have (reasonably) good hearing and coming out of the local cinema after about 7pm means I have to put up with walking past the speaker.

In other news, Stan Walker has now been permanently banned from this forum. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the reasons for this, please refer to the Terms and Conditions link at the bottom of the front page.

    ABERS:

Having lived in the Southern US, I can safely say that only rednecks and what remains of the KKK use that term, and it is considered highly offensive to all outside of those mentioned two categories.

Isn't redneck a derogatory term for poor uneducated whites in the southern USA, whatever their racial views are? It was when I was there. I expect they find that offensive. Why not go the whole hog and mention Trailer Trash!

It's derogatory, but it's not a badge used to paint a whole demographic. It's more of an insult that is applied to an individual because of what they believe in, which is usually racism or how they act. Just because you're poor, white and uneducated in the South, doesn't mean you're a redneck. Bit like calling someone an idiot or moron. At least that's the way it was used where I was - and yes, there were rednecks in my school, and often it was a term of endearment.

What makes these terms offensive is when the individual can do nothing about the condition that makes the term applicable - a "redneck" could get a job/education/stop shooting the stop signs with a shotgun and change the driving force of his life and cease to be a redneck. Slurs based around racial criteria, e.g. "limey" provide no means for the victim to adress the criteria and rise above the implication.

Re: ...this is what's wrong with this coutry.......

Ive always understood the term redneck to refer to an overly patriotic American who doesnt have a real job, leads a very rural life and is obsessed with the right to own a firearm.

Oh and theres always the incest to put in their Wink [;)]

I'd fully agree with this, aslong as we give parents the option to disown their children.

As its not always the parents fault, but sometimes that of piers

    Hmmm JD

So Mr Walker gets a ban for his abuse of the T+C of the the forum. Fair enough, I can live with that.

What about the the troll who desimated the galleries and continues to abuse people to the point of their leaving and yet still remains here ? you know who he is as do 95% of the membership. Did he not break the rules which you quoted ??

I know for a fact a lot of members have hit the report abuse button due to this clowns posts and there is never a response. Why???

Just to continue in the thread of Mr English butthead...it should have been written:
"brown dog", that's a bit of an oxymoron..
to imply that "brown dog" is the oxymoron, however, DMT's was almost completely correct; what it should have been is:
browndog, that's a bit of an oxymoron..

as she was talking to browndog..
