    lenses on ebay????

I have been looking at these two lenses and was just wondering would they be suitable....

52mm 2.0x tele photo lens and 0.45x wide angle lens

    states will fit af-sdx 18-55mm and af-s dx 55-200mm

I have a nikon D40 and from reading the blurb seem suitable from my perspective, however a little bit of knowledge from you guys would be appreciated?

Look at the prices of Nikon, Sigma, Tamrom and Tokina lenses and then look at what people are prepared to pay for the items you link us to.
Should tell you all you need to know without us needing to say they are unlikely to be much good.
Dont spoil a good lens by sticking a poor converter onto it - save a little longer and buy proper lenses.

These kinds of converters are always going to cause some loss of image quality. That being said, if you just need an occasional telephoto or wide-angle lens, then they may serve some function for you.

However, remember that used lenses are often available, and may be great buys if you are willing to take a chance or if you buy from an established store that will warranty their used lenses.  Sometimes, these stores also have eBay outlets.

I've bought a lot of lenses on eBay, including some new and used ones, and I've generally had good luck. For example, I've bought 3 used Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 lenses (two as gifts, not to replace failed ones) and all of them have been like-new in condition and utility.
