my mum said to put one on and i have had no say in this

    Carly Simon

If I was to accept a suggestion from my mum, it would probably be someone like Perry Como!!!!

I don't think we should go down that road!

well there was a chocolate bar in it for me.

    Re: The Greatest....

Well I don't have fav bands as such, I'm more a 'do I like the song' kinda gal.  Having said that I definitely prefer the heavy rock/metal type of music!  The gigs I go to at weekends are guys that do 70's & 80s rock covers, covering a lot of the groups mentioned here.

The regular ones I go to are on my myspace The Ed Hudson Band, Netherworld, Land of Cain - members of the first two bands, Davo and Jan Jensen (totally brilliant drummer - see video) were originally in a band called Bad II The Bone (London) and they were an excellent covers band which I followed every weekend for a couple of years.

Don't care for classical, country or rap.

Oh yeah!!  Their medleys are amazing!!

I do quite like the odd bit of Prog Rock, one of the best gigs I have been to was Hawkwind at the Barras in Glasgow when I was a student.

Pendragon is another great band of that genre.

    Cheers

    Re: The Greatest....

I have been a Dream Theater fan for more than 20 years I am going see them the end of may in Orlando, Fl. I have seen every tour that has come through Florida. This will be my eighth time seeing them live. Plus the guitar and drum clinic's I have seen.

    I am drummer and have been playing 25 years I listen to music like;

    singer songwriter: David Wilcox

    acoustic rock: Edwin McCain

    old school R&B: Stevie Wonder

rock: Kansas, Tull, Styx, Queen, Dixie Dregs, Whitesnake etc...

metal: Dream Theater to Lamb of God

    celtic: Chieftains to Gaelic Storm

There is alot of really great music and musicians here in the United States, but radio plays the same 20 bands all the time thats why I listen to XM radio.. Jerry

The BB king, Albert Collins, Albert King.

Roger Hudson, A bit of Black Sabbath (the more softer stuff)

I like AC/DC but the singer is quite annoying.
