    Re: Chill out music

I do listen to metal most of the time,

But when I like chilling out on a sunny day I love listening to a band called Sugar Ray, I got into them as a kid, and I still adore them. Their music is very summery, especially their "in the persuit of leisure" album Smile [:)]

It seems obvious from the threads on favourite bands and music that there's quite a big emphasis for many on loud guitar rock/metal/punk etc.etc., but what's your favourite chill out music? Sunny day lazing around or sunday morning music when you don't want your ears blasting.

I'd have to go with Miles Davis - Kind of Blue - always seems to voted best ever jazz album - or the whispering tones of Chet Baker - or the wonderfully cheesy sound of an american guitar duo of the 50s called Santo and Johnny - electric and Hawaain guitar music, really kitsch.

I think people chill in different ways, and age plays a part! If I had to pick one album to recommend to people, it'd have to be 'Big Calm' by Morcheeba. There's clue in the title Wink [;)]
