To be honest, Leica II bodies aren't that expensive. It's only the M series, with M6 and newer in particular, that require a second mortgage to buy.
KeithT:PS. Does it work? And have you used it?
I'm itching to use it. The shutter sounds good, the RF spot is a bit faint though. It's missing a take-up spool, so I can't stick a film in it just yet.
I'd try the take-up spool that's in my Leica Standard (heh... rarer than Leica II's.
