and Noel, welcome, i kinda like the second shot, some might say there's too much dead space on the left but I think its a good portrait. erm, contemporary if you like.

Lisa, that flower is stunning in b+w, great texture and contrast.

martin, I like it. nice lines. Id prefer a figure in it for a focal point, maybe, hmmm, maybe not.

highton, love the contrasts and the buildings in this one.

Willy, I like the composition, for me the red tint just dullens it too much, loses some of the contrast.

These were taken at the Welsh Flickr group meet in Llangollen yesterday...

This one's for BoltonDave! You'd have had a whale of a time in Llangollen... all those weird and wonderful faces (and loads of 'em with cameras too). It's the first time I've repeatedly pointed my camera at complete strangers and not felt uncomfortable about it... Everyone there seems to be used to it and the gent in the portrait above gets his photo taken at least a dozen times whenever the Welsh Flickr lot get together!
