Glad I had a modge with this then last night. Taken at Criccieth, N Wales, last March on quite a breezy day!

Nice shot of the Needles - always liked that bit of the coast.
Likewise the church, but the spotlight on the left is distracting - personal tastes, though...

One from me that I've finally gotten around to having a look at:

Hugh, Great shot. Really like the textures, you can almost feel the clay. Also the guiding hands work wonderfully...best I've seen for a while.

    Here my most recent.

Not a big fan of b&w personally but I do like this one.  Nice pic.

Saw this in a corner of a church where I was photographing and it just seemed so simple and the ideal subject for a mono picture.

Re: B & W in recognition of this month's DCMag

Hello, I posted some of these on the animal thread, I hope it's not bad form to put them here as well... The animals are from Chester zoo, the elephants were a smaller crop than I would have liked from the original picture, but it was such a 'tender' family pose that I couldn't resist it. The boy is my friend's son, I used channel mixer to bring out his amazing freckles. I've only been taking photographs other than snapshots for about three months, so I'm just experimenting. I use a bridge camera, and to be honest I haven't really mastered it yet, so won't be getting a DSLR for a while. any criticism is welcome. I've read this thread beginning to end, I love BW.

Porpoise, just goes to show you don't need a great camera to take great shots. The last three are really good. Love the elephants shot...emotions and textures. All three have good handling of light too which seems to be down to good post processing to.

Just keep in mind that the eye tends to go towards the brightest area. For instance the rhinos back. Knocking this back a tad would really pull your eye to his head.

Good selection of shots, look forward to seeing more.
