Nice bird shots by everyone (BTW OldBoy - the 1st one is a Swallow...I think...)
Tempting me into dusting off my 300D over the weekend; though I can guarantee the Barn Owl I've been watching for several evenings will go elsewhere when I get my decent cameras out Smile [:)]

Thanks for the comments sue. I get a few wasted shots trying to catch them in flight, and they don't follow a straight line. That's part of the fun and the fact I can push the ISO to 8,000 or so. Big Smile [:D]

Cracking Oyster Catcher shots, I got one of them but only had my 70-200mm F2.8 at the time and he was too far away. Also, like the fun Swan shot. Big Smile [:D]

Thanks for the comments Shadow_Wolf, not 100% of the first one as I couldn't see his tail, you could be right. Big Smile [:D]

One from today and he is a Swallow. Big Smile [:D]

With the one on the roof, find out where they are nesting, as they will sit around on the roof. There was three in a line before this one move onto the tiles. See below:

    Re: Animal Photography

    Hi everyone.

I am new here and really trying to get some advice on my photos and how I can improve.

    Here are my monkey shots.

I know this one is out of focus, but I like the composition.

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Re: Animal Photography

Very nice images Mark, I couldn't possibly tell you how to improve them though, they look fine as they are to me.

    Black Jack

I just messed about with this in Photoshop to black out the background using layer masks with gradients and some brush work.

Some great shots here - love the elephant one wayno.

Here`s a couple of shots I did not get right last night at Pontefract races in the fading light. Messed around with radial zoom blur in ps and quite like the outcome but need to have another shot at it with a better starting photo.
