sorry to deceive u, stu, but i'm not at all well versed with image manipulation. bought my dslr about 6 months ago, and only started fiddling in photoshop much more recently than that. tho i suppose that just illustrates the fact that u dont necessarily need to be a pro to get decent results- just lots of patience/persistence, trial and error, and beginners luck (lots of it).

I saw this scene at Kew and was struck by a sense of surreality - shades of Monty Python. But maybe it's just me...

Nice spot Eileen. I live not too far from Kew and this particular species is quite common, especially around the river bank. A sub-species can be found at Teddington Lock doing the Fish Dance.
