The most important aspect for wildlife photography is patience, you are dealing with wild animal and bird life, who are often frightened away by someone pointing a big shiny tube at them. They don't know if it's a camera or a weapon.

Stalking deer is pretty pointless, as they are brilliant at disappearing into undergrowth in seconds, that said there are a number of deer parks in the UK where you can approach them.

don't give up, wildlife is fascinating and this is always a rewarding genre. :-)

To stalk Deer you have to get there early(before 1st light or before the dark),remain perfectly still ,be quiet and get to know where they are going to appear from.2 years ago me and my dad had a roe deer come within 30 feet of us, i wish then i had a camera.

Even ask the local Farmers/shooters/game keepers for advice.This time of year is quiet good as woodpigeons are on the barley/wheat/peas and you might even get a day with them in a hide.Taking shots of birds coming into land as i`m hoping to do later this month.

Unfortunatley next week I am learning to drive mon-fri   9am-5pm !!! with a test on friday!!!

I am going to wait until there is ok weather planned and go out with my combats and my camera!!

I have found where the deer and birds like to chill out and it is only a 15 min walk from my house...

time to check the met office time for sunrise!!!

Well I walked with a few metres of a pair if roe deer whilst out with digs last, managed to get the shots I've put the animal thread and that was mid afternoon, so it just shows you should always be ready for the unexpected
