I can sort of sympathise Pete Clarke as I grew up in Cleethorpes - parents couldn't figure out why I'd rather rough it on my own after Uni than move home again!

BTW - The smell we now get is from the sewage treatment plant built right next to the main entrance into Grimsby - it drifts over on really windy days & during the summer it is totally unbearable - a really great piece of planning from our local council - NOT!

I have to confess I do visit more often these days Harry as the council are more accomodating than most when it comes to my other passion in life, Kite Buggying although the beach can be quite smelly at times with the seaweed!

Mark it's much better where I live, just down the coast at Sutton on Sea, miles of beach, though I'm not sure about Kite Buggying
