    CHAT FOR THE WEEKEND COMP – 5th & 6th July 08

    CHAT FOR THE WEEKEND COMP – 5th & 6th July 08

This post is for discussion of the weekly Competition

    This weekend's subject is...

    Reflections

Water, glass, polished surfaces all give us an opportunity to photograph in an indirect way to show the world in an oblique way.

Lakes, rivers, puddles, mirrors, car bonnets, glass, chrome, not forgetting Modern office block windows, shop windows, this will be a challenge for me hope you all enjoy the challenge.

    No restrictions on processing work.

    RULES

Photo must be taken on 5th or 6th July 2008 and submitted by 12:00 Monday 7th.

If anyone's unfamiliar with the rules, have a look here --->

Great subject - drat it, I shall not be able to enter.

I'll look forward to seeing the outstanding work I'm sure will be posted when I get back from my hols. If I can find an internet cafe I might even vote.

    Good luck everyone.

Good choice Steve. Can you clear one thing up though - does it have to be reflections from something reflective, i.e. mirror as you say - or can it be expanded in a more general sense to say include 'Reflections of a time gone by' etc etc? Hopefully you get my meaning? Big Smile [:D]

Oh now then, I do get your meaning totally, my idea was of an image from a reflective surface mirroring the things around them like mountain  reflections in a lake or shoppers reflections in a shop window, so ummmm (Cat amounts the pigeons) I would say from a reflective surface so as not to confuse issues.

I'll have to have a go at this one, as I can never seem to get a good reflection - so maybe if I try a little bit harder!!! LOL

Flipping 'eck!!! What a subject to choose, especially as I took these a couple of weeks ago whilst on holiday....

The fly landed on the bathroom mirror and was more than polite in allowing me to take a number of shots.

Will have to see what I can come up with this weekend.

    Good luck.
