Can anyone please help im having problems opening files in photoshop cs2 it either comes up with file format module cannot parse the file or could not complete because its not the right kind of document. this has recently started and ive had no problems in the past, i can still open these files on my laptop, ive tried downloading the latest camera raw downloads from adobes site, the only thing that i have done is opened some files for a friend which was a different camera dont know the make, mine are RAW (nef) files taken on a Nikon D200, the probems all files whether stored on Pc or new files from a compact flash card the cards are regularly formatted

It is seeing the Nef file as some other type of document, hence the error message. Suggest you go into Windows Explorer, find a nef file, right click on it, and from the drop-down list select open with, and from the new list select CS2. Now double click on the file, and it should open in CS2. If still a problem then post again here.
