If it was against the law then there would be nowhere for you to go on a Friday night. As all the pubs, clubs and other entertainment spots would be closed.

I know just hate the fact I'm working the next 3 Fridays, and they can't even get my pay right ahhhh feel much better its off my chest now I think ( well at least till I go in tonight and try and sort my pay out.... how hard can it be to put in the amount of hrs that people work?????)

I don't know if I'm going barmier, but earlier this morning a few posts were made on an announcement about the next issue of a photographic magazine, askin questions and offering advice.

I've just returned to see if the questions have been answered and there is no sign of the thread. What has happened to it?

What annoyed me today, in fact, really got on my goat, is having still not received from Barclay's Bank my Sentinel card reader which is yet another security device to accompany the three other security stages used when logging in to my online bank account. Without this device I can no longer make online payments. Totally beyond belief is that this has been going on since early June and supposedly the 5th such device is on it's way to me, the other four being marked down as being lost in the post. Despite numerous emails and telephone calls they still haven't cottoned on to the fact that the postal service isn't half as bad as they seem to imply, and certainly no where near as bad as Barclay's bank itself. What a load of brain dead nit wits - quick to grab one's cash, charge enormous fees, administratively incompetent and yet still manage to award themselves huge bonuses and pension payouts. They inform me that to send this card reader by registered post and special delivery would cost too much whilst at the same time turning a deaf ear to my proposition that the total cost of having now sent out 5 card readers of which I have received not one is far more. There now - that's said and still feeling murderous.

Well I think Barclays are marvellous. I don't bank with them, but they kindly installed a Hole in the Wall cash machine just around the corner from me which I can use. They have saved me a car journey of a couple of miles each time I want some readies.

Tremendous firm, can't speak too highly of them. I did notice a large dustbin round the back that appeared to be overflowing with some sort of card equipment, so they need pulling up on their environmental  reponsibilities.

I have about 5 different card machines between me and work, all accept visa. We also offer cashback, so I dont really have an excuse when Im around work.

 

WAMT? Petty stuff really, mainly that I was trying to demonstrate a lighting setup to a mate, but the walking talking lightstands dont seem to understand english. So one was pointing it straight into the lens, and the other kept moving it too close. So I talked to the one who couldnt aim, and reduced the power of the one too close. Yet it still came out as blinkies when I looked at the screen, looked up and noticed that hed drifted again! I should have seen it when taking it, but I was holding a brolly in one hand and the camera to eye in the other.

I think I managed to explain it to the one person interested anyway. And got an ok photo with some horribly blown highlights on one side!

I'd like you aiming and controlling a flash in one hand, aiming, focusing and using the camera in the other while having somehow watching two people on opposite sides of the room.

 

I just had an "oh balls" moment.

The reason why one of the flashguns hasnt shown up is not because of his lousy aim, but because he was holding his hand over the slave bit.

Oh well, that is my fault.
