Cheers veggiesosage, I had to think long and hard to come up with a theme that I thought most people would be able to contribute to, I never realised just how hard it was. Anyway I hope you and everyone else has fun taking pictures over the weekend. I look forward to seeing the results.

Great subject wattig. I've got several ideas, just hope I get enough time and the weather holds out.

Should get a wide variety of takes on this theme.

The website being down has certainly raised my level of expectation to see this weekend's competition, and I have not been disappointed! Great choice of theme, and one that we should see some interesting takes on.

Now if I could only risk taking my camera to some of the side-street where I live, I would be immersed in urban decay!

Nice one filter, if only I had known the topic for this weekend a few months ago!!! (I'd actually planned to do something like that with an apple and some black and white pics) never got round to drying the apple, how did you do the pears? just leave them for weeks or 'sun-dry' them in the oven like you can do tomatoes?
