Does software count as equipment? I want to create slide shows.

I have Elements 5 which seems to require me to buy Premier Elements to burn a DVD to create a slide show.

Is it easy to make a DVD that I can give to friends so they can see my pics in private?

I have ordered Premier Elements 4 from the Adbe Web site, as the only place at the moment I can find it. It was until recently bundled with PS Elements 5 but now nobody appears to be still selling the bundle.

And most importantly, is this the best software for this purpose?

    Hi becky,

I dont know if it counts to equipment! But i use Proshow Gold to produce slideshows. Its great for family and friends as its very very easy to use. However its equaly as powerful to create some strunning shows that are very professional, by use of layers, zoom and motion which you dictate how much and direction etc. Its great fun to use and has loads of short cuts such as syncing music to slides. You can even time slides to the beat of music....the list is endless. Have a look on their website www.photodex.com

The professional and amature slides shows are great inspiration of what can be done. Its not that expensive too, you should be able to get a trial download before you buy.

    Becky,

I agree, Proshow is brilliant! I have the Proshow Gold version as well and have never regretted the purchase. You can produce CDs, DVDs, output for iPod, etc, etc and with an add-on give the resultant "presentation" over the internet to friends around the world.

They do a 15-day free trial, so give it a go.
