The sun has set...

The sun has set...

I came across this bike shop under the arches along Brighton seafront - the wrecked remains of the bike seemed to echo the wrecked remains of the business!

It seems a quirky little business but the garish pink really sets it off Anna.  A very well spotted social documentary shot.  I think, in my opinion though, that it would be even stronger with the posters cropped off if possible, but still a great shot Anna.  Best wishes, Steve.

Thanks for the comment Steve - much appreciated.  I ummed and erred about cropping the posters off, took them off and then put them back on - wish I'd gone with my first instinct now! Kind regards, Anna

Great colours and inclusion of a rather broken bike.  Unlike Steve I think the space on the left which includes the posters works - sets of the pink well and adds to the gritty feel of the photograph

Looks like the sun has set on Sunrise Cycles. What a superb shot Anna........the posters are fine and add to the overall story and composition. First instincts are usually the best anyway.

Fantastic shot Anna, I like the selective framing, the colour combinations, the inclusion of the weird bike - all this really works very well together. Kind regards, Zuzana

Great shot Anna,it's got lots of punch(ture), LOL.  The posters help to make the whole image nicely toned. Glad you left them in. Rgds Alan.

Love the photo, captures the mood very well.

Sunrise Cycles was my father's shop, he ran it for a number of years but the business folded following his death in 2003. It's good to see people remember it though.

I almost overlooked this one this time because I thought I had already commented previously.........regardless, nicely seen and taken Anna....the posters don't detract from the overall scene for me.  Cheers, Andrew.
