Whiteout

Whiteout

As soon as I realised that the snow was settling last Sunday I headed up to Kingley Vale to make the most of it (here on the south coast snow is a bit of an event!). I'd thought that there would be lots of others who'd had the same idea but, amazingly, I didn't see a soul for the 2 hours I was up there - apart from 3 joggers in the distance who seemed to be running rather gingerly! It was snowing hard for most of the time and the sky and land seemed to merge into one.

Lovely image Anna.  The simplicity and sparseness of this really give it impact and mood.  I particularly like, mummy tree, daddy tree and little baby tree...lol!  Nice shooting and well done for braving the weather.  Best wishes, Steve.

Marvellous image Anna, I still haven't seen any snow up close for years on end!  I did see a little at the top of mountains in Snowdonia but didn't get anywhere near as close as this.  Nice one.

A beautiful shot Anna and the sort of level I would like to get to one day. Just wish I'd have been brave enough to venture up there myself that morning.

Beautiful, Anna. This is a very difficult shot to expose correctly in order to avoid "grey" snow .. but you have managed it. Well done!
