Woodland Carpet

Woodland Carpet

At this time of year the woods near our house are thick with bluebells (why are they called bluebells when they're mauve??) and almost as thick with photographers taking shots of them! It's a real pleasure to take the dog for his morning walks in there, and he's happy too as we're out for about twice as long as usual when I'm fiddling around in the undergrowth with my camera!

The ole Bluebells (mauve-bells) certainly bring out the photographers Anna, but they make such a great subject when taken to this high standard, I love the haziness soft feel to this shot, Its a really beautiful image, Taken, during your undergrowth fiddling moment  lol, you word it so well. Steve

Well worth the fiddling Anna. Lovely soft feel to it. And where was the dog while you were doing this. Ruby would have been trying to eat the forest, LOL. Rgds Alan.

Stunning - you have captured the colour and the light perfectly.  The contrast between the plainness of the trees and the lovely colour of the mauve-bells makes them stand out.   Super shot - kind regards Nick     ( PS - Know what you mean about happy dogs on photo walks although my mad cocker spaniel tries to stick his nose in the pciture whenever he can.)

Amazing dreamy capture Anna. The bluebells are not yet out in Sussex, but another 2 weeks and they will be in full bloom. I can't wait - your beautiful shot has made me to look forward to this more! Zuzana.

The lighting makes this shot stand out from the rest - the way the sun comes through the trees lighting up strips of bluebells is lovely.  Beautiful job.  Kind regards....Shauna
