Beside the Seaside
I spotted these two ladies sitting happily on the sea front at Bognor Regis recently, one swigging her mineral water and the other chatting into her mobile phone - for some reason they reminded me of a Beryl Cook painting!

You could call this "humbug and marshmallow" ! What a lovely shot Anna - love the colours - I agree it is reminiscent of Beryl Cook. Regards - Nick (PS - Can you please send some of that sunshine to Yorkshire ... )

Like this very much too Anna, just something nice and tranquil about it, even though the phone's being used, excellntly cropped too and presented.

Cracking shot, Anna. Beryl Cook indeed. Can I suggest that you clone out those two marks on the right. Cheers, Col.

Nick, Hoberty, Bob, Donny, Andrew, Steve, Mark, Zuzana and Colin - many thanks to you all for your kind comments, I really appreciate them. Colin - you had me worried when you mentioned the two marks on the right as I'm constantly having to remove dirt spots from my sensor, but these were markers (or something) floating on the sea, which is why I didn't think to clone them out. You're right though, it would look better without them - thanks for the tip. Kind regards, Anna

I love this shot Anna, definitely got the 'Beryl Cook Look', guaranteed to raise a smile. Like many of your seaside shots it has that very 'British' quality about it, well spotted and captured. Rgds Paul

Great shooting Anna. A well seen analogy to Beryl Cook-ism. apart from the colours they are like clones of each other, which makes the picture. Well spotted and taken, Steve.
