I visited Steam for the first time today and considering how poor the light is in there, especially near to where this wax work is sat, this is an excellent shot.  The exposure is spot on and I can see why you needed 30 sec.

Hi Be4ch - hope you liked Steam! It's a great museum. They're also really good about letting you take pictures and use tripods.
I've been putting more work into my exposure technique recently - spot meter, histogram, custom white balance - which makes the final stage of the workflow so much easier. I then output three different TIFF files from the final RAW image, with varying exposure from light to dark, and put them together as in HDR to really get the full tonal range from the file.

The HDR is really very discreetly done (it's being so overdone by so many)...

Blimey, Chris.  Never saw this last time.  What on earth are you doing with a picture of my wife...LOL  Just kidding of course.  Nice to see the good old I.o.W is advertised in the background.  We still dress like that over here.
