A 3-stop ND Grad was used to kold back the sky while a uniform 3 stop grad enabled the long exposure of 30 seconds.

The purple hue of the image was an unexpected surprise from using the Cokin uniform neutral density filter. I have just upgraded to the Lee filter system and have purchased a ProGlass ND filter - I must go back to take this image again using the new filter to see what difference it makes.

30 Seconds at Stair Hole
<media:text type="html">

30 Seconds at Stair Hole
Long exposure taken at Stair Hole.
