Lily pads in sunlight

Lily pads in sunlight

Catching up with my pictures from last weekend. I loved the light on these water lily pads. I think the picture looks as if I've used one of those wacky PS filters (plastic wrap I think it's called) but in fact it's just the way the light fell on the plants and water. Minimal processing. The composition is not ideal - it was very hard to get a good line of sight - and I've not been sure whether to post or not. But I like the light and hope you will too. I think I'll need to go back next year with more lenses and devote more time just to the lily house as they are so beautiful and worth the effort.

That's quite amazing enlarged and the use of light and it's capture are well achieved. Top work Eileen.

Impressive as ever; I run out superlatives when describing this standard of achievement and your gallery has so many excellent examples of the calibre that others can turn  to and emulate.

I like it...the composition is good...short of having waded in and removed that one leaf in the upper right portion...you have an odd number of lily pads.  Great job with the harsh sunlight...very nice.
