oh ... just to let you know ... the original was a bit flat ... so i turned it to bw using gradient mao ... i added a duplicate layer .. added noise at around 6% ... used overlay in the layers palette ... knocked it down to about 50% ... then added an adjustment layer using gradient map again .. knocked it down to around 60% ... then on the original layer i selectivly dodged and burned .... used levels ... and then flattened the whole thing ... a slight curve adjustment was used to finish ..
