In response to U R Wanker...I know a good lightning shot when I see one...I have never been able to capture one as beautiful as this, and I try quite hard to do so....  :)

Just to clarify, in case you were wondering - this IS a real photo. I have not manipulated it in any way, other than to clean up the noise and adjust the saturation and contrast.

And they get even better. Cracking shot - excuse the pun.

POTD again...it is as beautiful as it was the first time I saw it...very nice pic.  In March and April, we have a lot of lightning storms, so I hope to capture a few in the next little while with my new camera...
