Either go throught the standard laborious HDR methods - or - do a simulated HDR effect - gives differing results - personally I like the lazy man's method - gives me more time to take the photographs and relax on holiday.

Not many photographers here - well not inside the grounds of The Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh - no photographs allowed - but here in the car park a few shots were allowed. Founded as a monastery in 1128, the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh is The Queen's official residence in Scotland. Situated at the end of the Royal Mile, the Palace is closely associated with Scotland's turbulent past, including Mary, Queen of Scots, who lived here between 1561 and 1567. Successive kings and queens have made the Palace of Holyroodhouse the premier royal residence in Scotland. Today, the Palace is the setting for State ceremonies and official entertaining - the above photograph was taken before attending the Queen's Garden Party on Tue 1st July 2008 - I was tempted to sneak my compact in - concealed within my sporran - but didn't relish the prospect of spending my next holiday "locked up in the tower" - so left it in the glove compartment of my car - will just have to buy the official DVD of the day's festivities - glad the rain stayed away - great day had by all.
