Great shot, just got a sigma 105 macro but would never get a small object like that needle, is it the 60mm extension tubes that make the better, closer shot?? Pete

Thanks Pete, yes if you want get this close you need either extension tubes (such as Kenko tubes) or a set of bellows. There is another way to get extreme close-ups, and that is to attach such as a standard lens in the reversed position on the end of your Sigma macro lens. This is usually accomplished by using an reversing ring.  However as you get closer lighting becomes a problem.

Those are the ones Pete, Jessops also do a set @ £75. The makers name has rubbed of of my set, but I do think thet are Jessops brand. Have fun

Fantastic  shot, I have been trying do some something similar for the weekend comp (reflections) and have got nothing anywhere near as good as this.
