Tame heron in Madurodam

Tame heron in Madurodam

It didn't take much stalking to get this heron - it was quite tame and enjoying the tidbits thrown from the bridge.

Not really - as you can see from the Exif - 1/200 s and f16 - it was a bright and sunny day for a change - even able to use ISO200 and a 170 mm zoom. The Heron was also very cooperative.

Thanks for the supportive comments, they're much appreciated. If you want to get close to these birds, I really recommend coming to Holland. They're very used to human presence and getting reasonably close (within 20 metres) isn't too difficult.
