Snowy shot of Llyn Celyn

Snowy shot of Llyn Celyn

Lake Celyn, Wales. February 06. Bit of a trek through deep snow to get here. I would have loved to return for the sunset, but i was living halfway up a mountain at the time and I don't think I would have got home if I stayed out!!

Great Shot, the shodows give interest to the foreground and the reflection keeps the eye interested in the middle and the sky gradually fades to black giving the whole image a light to dark gradient.

I think its fantastic.

Thanks again everyone, Jammer...although the skys not what it could be (a few clouds could have helped) the natural break is on the top third. I stand by my composition. Ian

the sky is not a problem-a magazine title would fit nicely at the top,and would surely be a great choice for many picture editors.

Lovely shot Ian and congratulations for POTD. The clear sky is fine - a few clouds and you might loose the impact of the lovely blue reflection.
