No ... I am not in China covering the Olympic games - well according to the news a sunset would be impossible there due to all the smog ....lol! I was down at Sea Point (Cape Town) with the crew again and i saw this chinese man taking sunset photos - and i saw an opportunity - but as i was setting up, he started to move away ... so i shouted at him to stop, needless to say, he didnt understand a word ... but gosh thank goodness for hand signals .... well sometimes, the middle finger one could be banned!!!

While photographing Kalk Bay, the trains were rushing past us taking hundreds of commuters into the City! And as the sun burst onto the horizon, it lit up this train in the most saturated colour!

Sharon and I were out again early this morning. We went to capture the crashing waves at Kalk Bay .... needless to say ... there were no crashing waves - it was as flat as a pancake! But there was much to feast your eyes on!

I had to eventually post this! A couple of weeks ago, Sharon and I and a couple of other photographers decided to go to Rhodes Memorial and take photos of this Building that overlooks Cape Town - we were there before the crack of dawn! But picture this - as we were snapping away, this young couple snuggle up under their duvet and watch the sunrise over the city. Now here's the funny part - there they are enjoying the view and each other oblivious of anything else - and behind them was complete mayhem as all the photographers tried to get into position to take the shot of the young lovebirds!!!

Drakensberg Panoramic

This is my first attempt at doing a panoramic! I have just come back from a holiday to Tiffendell Ski Resort which is on the border of South Africa and Lesotho. It is a beautiful region with some magnificent scenery. As the kids would say, I am so amped to go back!!! Unfortunately didnt get much landscape photo as the kids were in the car and didnt appreciate all the stop and starts!!! Next time going on my own!!!

Gateway to paradise?

Gosh i wish i was in paradise because today it feels like i am in hell! I was doing a shoot today, went to move a light, knocked my tripod and the camera and lens crashed to the floor! Luckily camera is ok, but lens is stuffed! And i am leaving to go on holiday on friday - and it is my most versatile lens .....drat!!!!!!

I had not intention of going out to do photography - i was in bed and i just happened to open my eyes and see the most spectacular sky - so i jumped out of bed, jumped into my clothes - forgot to brush my teeth!!! Jumped into my car and raced off to a farm in the neighbourhood - luckily the farmer had left the gate open - so i walked down the farm till i got to a fence and decided it wasnt going to stop me - so i climbed through it and got hooked on those hooks on the fence - eventually untangled myself - and got my shot! The things we do, to get the shot ...lol!
