Another shot that takes something largely unexciting and finds patterns within it. The discolouration and contrast boost you've given the shot helps to emphasise the patterns even further.

Congrats Linda on the MPOTD!! I agree, there is something that keeps you staring at this photo. Perhaps it is the great lighting and warmth that holds the eye. Perhaps it is the shapes captured here or more likely, it is because this is an awesome capture!

I think that this is a very well balanced photo: the pale band at the top followed by the darker band then the water; plus the top half having the tyres and the bottom having the ripples. I agree with you Linda, I wouldn't tire of this either. Congrats on the front page.

Cracking shot with stunning tones. Now if the tyres had been painted white, it would look like a production line for Polo's! Also notices, if you put a spirit-level across those lines, I bet they are level! This give it a perfect symmetry, like lead-in lines, and draws you in. Well spotted.

What a fantastic capture Linda so well seen as a photograph it's not just about going out there and pressing the shutter, having a good eye for a photograph, and what makes an interesting composition is a great deal of any succesfull shot, and you really won through with this one,  not everybody would have thought to have pointed the lens at a load of old tyres and some water .  many congrats on P.O.T.D. well deserved and sorry I missed it for so long .  all the best Gav.
