Yes - now this is high quality photography - better than the usual overdone water drop shots - exqisite capture - well done - never seen water look so like mercury - the lighting is superb -but please  tell me it is not mercury(such a beautiful but dangerous element) - sorry forgot to say 5 stars from me.

Gil, no it's not mercury, it's tap water. ;)  I was pleasantly surprised with the metallic look.

Setup as follows

1: Canon 30D with Tamron SP 90mm macro lens
2: Glass of water standing on (empty) beer can in sink.  Frying pan behind to provide background lol...
3: Turned on tap to a slow trickle, and fired a few shots hand held.   Onboard flash was used, and manual focus.

Shot from about 5" and cropped the shot.

Thought I'd take a look at your gallery and straight away I like this shot.  I have to say, I follow Gil's train of thought about the mercury and the 5 stars.
