Have to say I think this is somewhat overblown in the processing dept. Like the scene, I'm always a sucker for a nice cathedral inside shot and you've got the angles all straight which I never seem to quite manage. But the contrast is so extreme so you've lost lots of shadow detail and highlight detail is blown out. I'd give it another go processing if I were you but be a bit less extreme on the black and white points settings and the highlights saturation setting as well.

Thanks for the comments.
Cheers Veggie for the constructive criticism. I used Lightroom to try and 'tweak' the look a little - can;t quite remember what settings I used but will have a look at the original - Thanks

I'm going to disagree with veggiesosage here, while his points on shadow and highlights are true, so what. In the grand scheme of things it's the overall effect that counts. HDR work can promote extremes, it's how well the "extreme" fits the subject that counts. There are many chocolate box HDR images out there, (thats not a derogatory statement either - they are very valid images in there own right). I just prefer to see HDR either extreme, as in this case, or accurate to the scene. I think you have a great image on your hands, the architecture suits the style you have applied and I like the way the floor colour mirrors the ceiling, all in all super work, congrats on the front page, well deserved.

Great colours and contrast, also has a slight surreal edge to it.
