Bit of a contrasty, stormy shot here. It was blowing a gale this day, and I was constantly having to wipe the filters clean. I was experimenting with wave motions, trying different shutter speeds and wave times, this is of a wave as it retreats back down the beach, which I think gives some of the best effects.
Criticism and hints are always welcomed.

Nikon D200 w/ Sigma 10-20mm @ 10mm. 0.8sec @ f/19. ISO 100. Nikon Matrix metering. Hitch .9 hard ND grad. .6 Kood solid ND. Cloudy white balance. Manfrotto tripod and head. Cable release.

A recent HDR shot here. Stormy day, again, so I used HDR to capture the moody skies, and accentuate the textures on the wall and in the water.
I experimented with cropping this to a square format, just around the promenade, but I wasn't sure, I quite like the 'vast' feel to this. What do you think?

Nikon D200 w/ Sigma 10-20mm @ 13mm. 9 exposures bracketed @ 1ev around 1/30th @ f/8. ISO 100. Spot metering. Hitech .6 ND grad, for effect. Manfrotto tripod and head. Cable release.

I shot this in a field of a local farm, situated on the cliffs over the beach.
Last year this whole field was just a sea of barley, but this year the crop rotation is half corn, which is to the right, and half... nothing. Where all these daisy type things have popped up.
I loved how the backlighting illuminated the white petals, so I used my special Hitech 1.2ND grad, luckily there wasnt any flare.
I boosted the sky a bit in Photoshop, to emphasise the starburst on the sun from the small aperture. I hope you like it.

Nikon D200 w/ Sigma 10-20mm @ 13 mm.
1/30th @ f/16 w/ -.3 EV exposure comp.
ISO 200. Spot metering.
Hitech 1.2ND grad - Hard edged.
Manfrotto tripod. Cable release.

I've gone back to where I started in photography with this pic. My first love in photography was flora portraits. Changed a bit since using the "macro" function on my Sigma 70-300mm, but still the same technique. Shot this with my D200 and Sigma 105mm Macro @ f/8 with a 1/250 shutter speed, against a 5 way reflector, using the black cover. Lit with my old SB-28 flash gun in manual mode. Full power @ f/5.6, bounced off the ceiling and wall. I hope you like it.
