Taking on the Sky

Taking on the Sky

Every night just as the sun dips into the horizon this flock of black birds return to roost. There are so many that the sky darkens and you can feel the wind in their wings as dip and swirl ,doing a final dance before bed.Nikon D80, ISO 200,Shutter 1/40, Aperture f/4.5, Focal length: 70mm, Tripod used.

I like this one best!  Just the right DOF.  Great definition on birds up top then declining in size and increasing in distance as your eye moves in and down the frame.  Excellent!

Wow! This is brilliant Nancy, an amazing sight that you've captured so perfectly. I can't be sure but I think I counted 432 birds, you might want to double check though, ;-) Rgds Paul
