Having spent the last week at my beloved coast...I caught my youngest son in such a vulnerable moment. It is moments like this, that we are truly blessed. And as I have said in the past to some of you, there are images that are captured with the click of the shutter but there are images that are forever captured with our hearts....

Reflective Abstract

I have found that as of late, I am seeing the world around me more in an abstract form. I have become fascinated with reflections and the shapes and colors and views it offers the eye. Care to take a guess as to what caught my eye today?

Mimosa...Aka: Silk Tree

Mimosa flower..the mimosa tree was first introduced to the USA in 1745. The trees grow betweeen 30-40 ft. tall and are considered to be a destructive plant to other native plants. A dense stand of them can block sunlight and nutrients and wipe out a fragile eco-system on the forest floor. They are often found along road sides here. Their flower shoots are very sticky once blossomed and can cause paint damage to cars. Not many people like the poor tree but I find I like their fraility in the flowers and delicate pink coloring.

The conclusion to that play...we went on to win that game and now are the District 5 Champions in this age league in the regular season. Playoffs start in a couple of weeks. As I have said, during this time of year, my boys LIVE on the field! LOL! I hope you have not grown tired of this series, as this is all I have time for right now...regardless, I am burning up the cards! LOL.

REFLECTIONS

Reflection of a cypress tree....this park is located in the middle of my town, surrounded by commercialism. It was established in the 50's by a couple who wanted to keep the native plants and habitats in their enviroment. Upon their deaths the family donated it to the city and it is open to the public. Here you can visit and catch your breath....without even leaving the city.

Here in the South, spring is not about flowers but playing ball! I spend most of my days on the baseball field watching my boys play The action of 5-6 years olds is pretty intense. We start 'em young here! LOL!
