Where I live we have lots of dry stone walls - I think these are from ivy which has died away.

This is looking away from the priory back up Wharfedale - the weather was so variable on Sunday - sun, rain, sun ...lovely light though. and ... a few moments later a Nun in full nun-gear wandered into view. Very surreal. I haven't mucked about with this too much - it was a lovely day.

Turning over an old leaf

The high winds today started to strip the leaves from the Virginia Creeper which covers one wall of the garage. Grabbed a few leaves before they were lost to winter although I think the brown one blew in from a beech hedge next door. (to be honest I have no idea what sort of leaves they are - I just liked the colours !)

Managed to grab a third place in the club comp this week with this one. Worth standing on the touchline for an hour on a cold February saturday.

Bullfrog Jones

Had a clearout of my gallery - thought I would post a few new images. This one is from the local pub - a great band called Bullfrog Jones - this is the lead singer John Bickerdike. If you get the chance to see them you should not miss them - really good band. It was very low light (and I had consumed a few pints of the excellent Copper Dragon 1812) so I'm surprised this actually worked out.

Cloisters

On a business trip to Surrey this week I decided to explore the hotel - part of it dates from a few hundred years ago although thankfully the rooms have been updated with more modern 'facilities' . I spotted a door half open (who could resist) and found the old cloisters. Difficult lighting, getting darker all the time - luckily I had a mini-tripod in the camera bag.
