Weekend comp entry for 29-30 Nov 2008. Theme was "Phobias and Fears". Only basic editing was allowed so I tweaked the levels and adjusted the colour balance to give a bit more of a nighttime feel.

Entry for the weekend comp 22-23 Nov 2008. Theme was "Credit Crunch" - the photo was to feature something recently purchased which cost less than £5. I used a macro lens (not a real one, the screw-on magnifier type) and cropped to a 16:9 ratio to give a subtle "cinematic" feel.

My attempt at the tutorial from DCMag issue 78. I froze a grape leaf by immersing it in water in the freezer, then held it up to the sun.

Entry for the weekend comp 20-21 Sep 2008. Theme was "natural beauty". This is well outside my comfort zone but I quite like the look. No idea what the flower is either. It was taken at Polesden Lacey, an NT property in Surrey. Only PP was a crop and some sharpening (comp rules this week forbid any more!).
