A good camera to get to grips with the basics. Built like a tank, no requirement for batteries (ok, some had a battery-powered lightmeter), M42/Pentax screw thread lens mount... and not expensive at all. My second camera was a Zenit E, I learned loads with it.

Mine's unhappy at the moment, something has jammed the shutter mechanism - the curtain is at the full extent of its travel and the mirror is stuck part way up....
