Like the picture but it is a little soft due to shallow DOF. I used to have one of these cameras and it was a good little box but I paid more that a fiver.

I got this same camera recently and don't remember how to use a manual! Can you tell me what all of the numbers represent on my camera? I would love to shoot manual photos again. I haven;t used a manual since high school and that was quite a while ago! If you can help email me! Thanks,

Ok, I'm 16 and I just asked my dad how my older brother used this thing when he was in high school [Note: he isn't even close to my age.... try double and adding 2-3 yrs]
and the numbers on the top of the camera are as follows,
-on the dial
--in the box that number which ranges from 50 to 3200 is for the ISO, I have no clue what that means, but I just usually match it up with the ISO on the film that I get [usually 200]
--the numbers around the dial from B to 1000 is the shutter speed B being the slowest, and 1000 being the fastest, I don't know the importance of the shutter speed but I just set it to what I feel like at that moment in time. but usually I set it from 60->125
-behind the glass by the turning thingy (the thing that whinds up the film) is how many picutres you've taken.
-on the lens, please note I havne't looked at the pictures I've taken so far, mostly because I just asked "dad what happened to that old shutter camera that you used to have" and his response was "which one, the good one or the one your brother used?", [I asked for the one my brother used...][my dad wasted lots of money on these especially the one that he got for himself (the good one... expensive lens, (custom apparently)...), the numbers on the lens closest to the camera under (if looking top-down) the little numbers with the lines above with the orange(reddish) circle (the middle one) under that... (the bottom line with numbers) are to choose what the lighting conditions are usually 8 to 11 is for outdoors and 4 for indoors [although I use 5.6 too] (DON'T FORGET I HAVEN'T PRODUCED ANY PICTURES YET, I'm wasting the film from when my older brother had it... (18yrs ago... At least)... meaning i waste and see if it is still good...  anyways... there are little numbers underneath this line too but it is just a repeat of the same numbers [b/c its on the same piece] the next one with the green numbers is to focus the image. to focus.. well you should know, i'm still very new at this... to focus i believe you line the image up in the middle circle so the images align properly. but i never really noticed this till 15minutes ago.... [i started using it 20 minutes ago...]

and i'm here explainign this to you... well i hope you've already figured out what the numbers are for by now... if not i hope my messy explaination had helped somewhat.. i don't come here at all i just wanted to see what i'd get if i searched the camera. (note i hope you people are using the same one... b/c if you guys bought these recently... this one is NOT bought recently...) my dad bought these mostlikely sometime when he moved here. 1970's so for me thats awhile... you guys i think its still awhile... but i never know... [and i won't know] anyways i'm going to end up ranting for ages if this continues....

Thanks for the comments guys, and just in case anybody else would like a manual for this camera, you can get one here: http://www.butkus.org/chinon/fujica_stx-2/fujica_stx-2.htm. This site also has many other camera manuals available for downloading.
