Collared Dove

I was trying to explain to someone how a relatively cheap lens like the Canon EF-S 55-250 IS doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad one... This was shot through my living room window. The dove was about 15 feet away so this is quite heavily cropped but it serves a purpose. In fact, it came out better than I hoped!

To counter the fact that the window washed a bit of contrast and colour out, I adjusted the curves slightly and boosted the saturation. I duplicated the layer, changed the blend to multiply and painted the dove and roof out with a soft, white brush... then added a vignette and a frame.
