This was done as a tongue-in-cheek response to those who got all prudish about the last picture I did of Ayesha that was posted on Flickr and is also in my gallery on here...

We had a bit of a family discussion about it and I said I'd had an idea about how to respond without getting bitchy and so I decided to let my photography do the talking! This is the result!

NB: Before anyone starts, Ayesha's sucking her podge in! She doesn't want people to start saying she's anorexic and had in fact eaten a huge pasta bake shortly before this picture was taken!

There are also no religious connotation to this in my eyes - crucifixion was a punishment in the midde-east long before JC made an appearance! If anyone finds that it offends their religious sensibilities, you have my apologies in advance! I'm trying to prove a point - not create a religious debate.

Through the miracle that is DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY, I've discovered a type of glass that turns black and white images back into colour again! I'm gonna be rich!

It was a swine to create but I had fun with this...

I asked Ayesha to pretend to be holding something and then created the 'sheet of glass' in CS3. Getting the edge effects right was the hard part but it all worked out in the end.

Just 10 minutes down the road from my house... I've not been back here in over 18 months and decided it was time for a return visit. Once again, the 40D and Sigma 10-20 combination showed exactly what they're capable of!

Taken on the old British Steel site (now Corus) in Deeside in North Wales. Finding a viewpoint that didn't include anything industrial was a nightmare!

I wasn't sure I'd managed to get enough blur in the poppy heads to show movement - but it was flippin' windy!

Something a little different... I took this at Bodnant Gardens last month and wanted to try and get away from the usual (read boring) flower shots. I liked the way the ornament made for a decent focal point with the path so I twisted the camera and let go... A bit of processing in CS3 and voila!

Another shot from the tower block with the A640 - I spotted the tree in the churchyard opposite and thought it looked nice framed by the window. I opened the JPEG in Adobe Camera Raw and processed it from there to maximise its potential - especially as there was a marked difference in lighting between the outside and the corridor.

Ayesha - Flash Separation

This was done as a bit of an experiment... Spot-metered on the cloud to get a base reading of 1/250sec @ f5.6 with the flash output cut to 1:2 in slave mode. ST-E2 flash commander on camera set to fire the 430EX off-camera. I still need another flashgun though!
