Hopefully this will show (and I mean 'hopefully') that you don't have to use a DSLR or Photoshop to make a satisfying image (although I do use both too). This was taken with a Fuji s9500 bridge camera this very morning, and edited with Serif Photoplus. I usually only lug the DSLR around when I'm on a mission, the Fuji set on jpeg does for the 'got to be done there and then' shots.
