The Church on the Hill

The Church on the Hill

The old ruins of St Michael's Church on Burrow Mump, Somerset. I took this on New Years Day at Sunset, but I've only just got around to doing something with it. HDRified in Photomatix but the CP filter on the lens was what really brought out the detail in the sky.

Very professional shot. Great detail. Out of interest what's lighting the church...sun or spotlight?

Without doubt one of the most attractive uses of HDR I've seen. This shows a firm understanding of HDR techniques, and the glow and detail in the brickwork is phenomenal. I love how the ruined church stands on its own with nothing but open sky and grass around. -JD

Excelent PP work, its one of those images that make you want to run out and see if you can find as good a location, sky conditions definately add to the overall beauty and majesty, great work.
