Torre pendente di Pisa

Torre pendente di Pisa

This is my attempt at giving a fairly ordinary shot some character by 'ageing'. I used a texture layer, with grain, blur, etc and then attacked it with dings, scratchiness and scuzzification techniques. It took so long to do it that I reckon it would've been easier to let it age on its own, lol. It needs to be viewed large to appreciate the damage that I've inflicted! - Paul

Very creative and it is refreshing to see new life breathed into a subject that I am sure most of us have tried. The ageing has worked perfectly. Charles.

The affect is very impressionable one on me and one that appears to invoke not only the old master’s with their cumbersome equipment but the place as well.  It defiantly goes to show that there is nothing ordinary about any subject, only the limitations of the photographer themselves.  I have enjoyed this sequence of shots very much.  Congratulations, Hoberty
